Variety Young Professionals - Pittsburgh Chapter is a group of young professionals (21+) who are committed to supporting Variety's mission of providing life-saving and life-enriching assistance to children in need throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. Variety Young Professionals (VYP) is part of Variety the Children's Charity (http://www.varietytent1.org/). Variety the Children's Charity of Pittsburgh is now celebrating 80 years of helping children of all abilities to see their potential and to reach their goals and dreams. VYP’s goals are to heighten public awareness about the cause, raise funds and promote volunteer service. 
VYP's current main initiative is to support Variety's Kids on the Go! Program which provides wheelchairs and other mobility equipment for children with mental and physical disabilities, ages 21 and under, residing in 10 southwestern Pennsylvania counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland. This program helps by providing wheelchairs, van lifts, house ramps, walkers, adaptive car seats and strollers, specially-equipped bicycles and tricycles, and other items when this equipment cannot be obtained from any other source. Variety's Kids on the Go! Program serves as a resource for families who are unable to obtain such equipment through providers such as insurance carriers, government agencies, school districts, etc. As our Young Professionals chapter continues to grow, we look forward to supporting many more of Variety's special programs.
